Windows & Doors Pre-Installation

Installing your new windows and doors is as important as manufacturing them.

No two homes are the same. And no two customers have the same requirements.

That's why at Commerce Windows we go to great lengths to listen to you.

First you will have a pre-arranged consultation with our sales co-ordinator at a mutually convenient time. This will enable discussion of the products you require, this will be undertaken in as shorter time as possible and is usually over in under 30 minutes. A quote will be sent by post for your perusal.

Once the quote has been received and you have agreed to go ahead with the installation a specialist surveyor will visit your home. They will listen to your individual requirements and make a detailed survey, taking accurate measurements and checking details such as opening sizes. Any problems will be identified at this stage, and solutions presented. We'll discuss every detail with you, and allow you to raise any questions or concerns you may have.

The surveyor will consider health and safety aspects of the installation. No detail is too small - we even consider your pets.

Only once the plans have been approved and you have signed our contract will production begin on the items needed.

With many properties surveyed every week, you can feel to be in safe hands with Commerce Windows.

Setting the Date

Once your survey is completed, our installation co-ordinator will contact you to arrange a convenient installation date. The number of days required to complete your installation depends on the number and complexity of products to be installed. This will be estimated when the installation co-ordinator contacts you to arrange the installation You can trust our experience and skill to ensure that we will carry out your installation smoothly and with the minimum of inconvenince and disruption to you and your home. Attention to detail is the key - fully liviered fitters and vehicles to the care taken in completeing your installation.

The installation team are also careful to adhere to the latest Health and Safety Regulations. Periodic on-site installation inspections are carried out to ensure our high standards are maintained. During installation all products are anchored securely to existing brickwork to prevent the external removal of the window/door frame. When sealing the frames, only quality materials are used. Silicone will be applied neatly and where possible the colour will compliment the brickwork externally and internally white acrylic will be used as it can then be easily painted and decorated over. When the installation lasts for more than one day, you can be rest assured that the installation team will not leave without ensuring that your home is safe and secure. Once the installation is completed, you will be invited to inspect the installation with the installers who will explain how all the products work.

Generally we have a set routine for installations:

If possible the frames and doors will be deilivered before the installation date. Dependent on whether they will be secure. When this is not possible the installation team will bring the frames with them. The installation team will leave the warehouse between 8am and 9am and arrive as soon as possible depending on how far away you live. Usually work will commence upstairs unless you request otherwise. The installers will provide dust sheets to cover floors, furniture and bedding. We ask you to provide access to power sockets for the installer's power tools and if required access to water. The installation team will remove any rubbish when they've finished. The installation team will provide you with a full demonstration on how to use your new windows and doors.
